Sandy R. Dunbar, 65 of Sioux City passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital. Sandy was cremated and there will be a celebration of life service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Sandy was born May 28, 1950 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Elmer and Colleen (Schumacher) Mammen. Sandy grew up in Correctionville and graduated from Correctionville High School. Sandy at one time was a life guard and a beautician. She later had a career in the health care industry for over 25 years. (Good job Mom). She was able to touch many people's lives and families with her great shoulders to lean on. She enjoyed crossword puzzles that no one else could solve, board games, reading, watching the food network (but not cooking anything) and spending time with the family. She also excelled at being an unbiased judge for her granddaughters dance routines. Survivors include her son: Timothy Brown (Beth) of Minneapolis, MN; 3 brothers: Teddy Mammen (Karen), Tommy Mammen and Torry Mammen all of Correctionville, IA; her sister: Shar Fogelman (Dennis) of Correctionville; 5 grandchildren: Nataley Brown, Cooper Brown, Shayley Parks (Dennis), Hillary Bowman, and Tanner Holtz; 3 great grandchildren; Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her longtime partner in crime, James Fueston.
