Dale Schincke, age 87, of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at a local hospital. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family's residence on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Nelson Berger Northside Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Dale Eugene, son of Victor and Mabel (Lindgren) Schincke, was born June 22, 1928, at Pender, Nebraska. He grew up in the Pender area. In 1950, Dale was drafted into the U.S. Army and received his honorable discharge in 1952. On November 23, 1952, Dale was united in marriage with Florence Schademan in Omaha, Nebraska. Two children were born to this union. Dale farmed and trucked nearly all of his working years. The family made their home in the Pender, Nebraska area before settling at Webster City, Iowa where they resided for 47 years. In August of 2015, Dale and Florence moved to Dakota Dunes, South Dakota to be closer to their son. Dale's passions were working on the farm and trucking. He enjoyed restoring vintage tractors, remodeling his home, doing yard work and watching sports on television. He was very family oriented. Dale is survived by: his wife Florence Schincke of Dakota Dunes, SD; a son Merlin Schincke and wife Glenda of Dakota Dunes; a daughter Meridee Schincke of Rancho Cucamonga, California; two grandsons: Chad and David (Charlotte); two great-grandsons Miles and Bradley; and a sister Amber Simm of Meriden, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Norma Meierdierks and Beverly in infancy.
