In Remembrance and Celebration of the Life of Robert Jon Galvin "Khe Gthe Butetah" Robert Jon Galvin "Khe Gthe Butetah", 32, of South Sioux City, NE passed away in October of 2015. Services were held on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at his mother's home at 317 East 33rd Street in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Burial Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 25th, 2015 at the U'mOn'hOn Tribal Cemetery in Macy, Nebraska, where Robert Jon was Laid to Rest next to his father James Benjamin Galvin. Those in charge of the Prayer Services were Jonathan Long Soldier Oglala Lakota and Frank Saunsoci U'mOn'hOn Nation. Robert Jon was born on April 10th, 1983 in Sioux City, the son of James Benjamin Galvin and Tracy Lynne Rouillard Jones. He received his education at the South Sioux City High School and was in his second year at Metro Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. Robert Jon was a member of the Native American Student Council at Metro Community College and was considered a leader among his fellow peers. He was well known and admired for his athletic excellence, and everyone that knew him knew that he was unstoppable on the court. Robert Jon strived for excellence in everything he did. Robert Jon was always there for his family and friends. His mother could always count on him to help her with all her handyman tasks and outdoor landscaping; he was truly a gift from our Creator Wakan Tanka. Robert Jon honored and respected his U'mOn'hOn and Dakotah traditional way of life. He was a warrior, for his Strength was like that of a lion as fierce as the roaring Thunderand his heart was as big as the Ocean outpouring with love, compassion and generosity. Robert Jon was the proud father of three beautiful children-Jalen Marie, Pierce Anthony, and Roland Jon Galvin all of South Sioux City, Nebraska. Robert Jon is survived by his mother Tracy Rouillard Jones, his step father Alvin Fitzgerald Jones, Sr.; three brothers: Richard James Galvin, Reginald Joseph Galvin, and Alvin Fitzgerald Jones, Jr.; and three sisters: Shanae Sechrist, Kilee Parker Galvin, and Athena Angelese Jones.
