Essedoame "Emmanuel" Eviglo, 67, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at his residence. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roger Madden and Derrick Okine officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be offered to the family at

Essedoame "Emmanuel" Eviglo was born March 26, 1948, in Elliko, Togo, to Christian Sekota-Viglo and Yawa Douffle. Emmanuel resided in Togo, Benin and the U.S. He married Madam Kokoe Aboussa on May 12, 1972. Mr. Eviglo served 21 years in the Togolese Air Force before retiring. He was a member of the African Christian Fellowship of the First United Methodist Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include his wife, Kokoe Aboussa; children, Epiphane, Afi, Kossi, Jacques, Jacqueline, Dovi and Pepe; and his grandchildren, Diana, Ann, Lasaisha, Jordan, Curtis, Elizabeth, Nearon, Alexander, Ashley, Alize, Eddy, Dovi, Brandon, Nataly, Eldrich, Maddox, Grace, Emmanuel and Asher.
He was preceded in death by Komla Viglo, Kossi Viglo, Francois Yao Viglo, Victor Viglo and Dora Abla Viglo.
