Lori Humphrey, age 52, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 11 AM on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Lori, daughter of Edmund and Delores (Spiekermeier) Fedler, was born September 17, 1963, in Fort Madison, Iowa. She grew up at West Point and graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1982.

On October 1, 1983, Lori was united in marriage with Brian Humphrey in West Point. Two children were born to this union. The couple made their home in West Point until 1989 when they moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska. Lori worked at MCI, First Financial Bank and Dr. John’s.

Lori was a very selfless person, often putting her family and friends first and being a mother to many. She was a good cook and baker. Lori enjoyed weekly meals with her family, riding motorcycles and driving Ruby with her granddaughter Brooklyne.

Lori is survived by her husband Brian Humphrey of Sioux City;  a son Brandon (Amy) Humphrey of Sioux City; a daughter Jacqueline (Brandon) Humphrey-Stowe of Sioux City; a granddaughter Brooklyne Humphrey; six brothers: Mark (Barb) Fedler of Danville, Iowa; Steve (Pam) Fedler of Des Moines, Iowa; John (Gina) Fedler of Mantua, Ohio; Charles (Kim) Fedler of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Ed Fedler, Jr. of Athens, Greece; Tim (Shari) Fedler of Macomb, Michigan; six sisters: Connie (Glenn) Ferrell of Fairfield, Iowa; Pat Becker of Davenport, Iowa; Kathy Hedger of Fort Madison, Iowa; Mary (Kirk) Shannan of Fairfield, Iowa; Agnes (Bob) Anderson of Donnellson, Iowa; Susan Gelsthorpe of Fort Madison, Iowa; a brother-in-law Tom Olson of Sherman, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ted Fedler, a sister Christine Olson, two brothers-in-law Gerald Becker and Lee Hedger, and a nephew Michael Hedger.
