Susanne Annette Weaver

Remsen, Iowa – Susanne Annette Weaver, 56, of Remsen died unexpectedly on August 7, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.

Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be a memorial gathering at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the family’s house in Remsen.

Susanne was born July 22, 1960 in Phoenix, AZ.  Most of her younger years were spent in Washington state and then in California.

On August 25, 1991, Susanne was united in marriage to Barry Weaver at Big Bear Lake, CA.  Since 2005, they have made their home in Remsen.  Over the years, Susanne was a stay at home mom.  She enjoyed gardening and treasure hunting at different thrift and antique shops.  Above all, family was the most important part of her life.  Susanne was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and the greatest Nana there ever was.  Her smile and laugh will live forever in our hearts.  Every sunset will be a memory of her sitting in her favorite chair on the porch staring off into the beautiful evening sky.

Susanne is survived by husband, Barry Weaver; 4 daughters: Tasha Chasteen, Kristina Naasz, Jennifer McDowell and Jessica Weaver; 2 sons: John McDowell and Robert McDowell; 6 grandchildren: Brad, Tyler, Ashley, Isabella, Liam and Piper; her mother, Janet Ball; 2 brothers: Randy and Scott; 1 sister, Teri; and nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Jerrid, Chelsea, Sara, Jeremy and Jamie.
