Arnold D. Loutsch, 83 of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, August 09, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Daniel Rupp will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Arnold was born August 31, 1932 in Remsen, IA; he was the son of Michael and Clara (Pletschette) Loutsch. Arnold grew up in the Remsen area and attended Remsen St. Marys. He married Mary Lou Meister and she passed away in 2015.
Arnold worked for Holtz Construction and W. A. Klinger Construction.
In his younger years, Arnold enjoyed motorcycles and going to the horse and dog races. He enjoyed going to auctions, traveling to see extended family and going to morning coffee.
Survivors include 3 children: Timmie Loutsch (Inoka) of Hinesville, GA, Veronica Miller (Rick Rohde) of Sioux City, Michael Loutsch (Miranda Peterson) of Sioux City; 3 sisters: Mary Jane Marsh of LeMars, IA, Carol Shimitz of Sioux City and Marlene Pinney (LeRoy) of Sioux City; 3 brothers: Nick Loutsch of Sioux City, Jim Loutsch (Joyce) Akron, IA, Marvin Loutsch (Joan) of LeMars, IA; 7 grandchildren: Timmie, Christina, Marcus, Melissa, Broderick, Brooke and Melanie; 9 great grandchildren.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Elaine Loutsch.
