Judith Marie Bride, 76 of Sloan, IA passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Pioneer Valley Living & Rehab Center in Sergeant Bluff after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Skien Lutheran Church, 11929 Aspen Ave, Sloan, IA. 51055. To get to the Church take Interstate 29 to Exit 127 and go .4 miles west to Hwy K42. Go south 3 miles on K42 to 120th St. and turn right. Go west 2 miles on 120th St. to the Church. Rev. Craig Bock will officiate. Following the service, there will be a luncheon and then burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Judy was born June 27, 1941 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Edward and Shirley (Nyreen)
Lubanski. Judy grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools including Central High School.
On October 17, 1968, Judy married Anthony K. Bride in South Sioux City. Anthony passed away on May 21, 2014 in Sioux City.
Judy worked for Zenith, DeWild Grant Reckert & Associates and then Memorial Park Cemetery.
Judy was a member of Skien Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, making crafts to sell at craft shows and looking at everyone else’s crafts. She also enjoyed listening to audio books.
Survivors include her sons: Thomas Bride of Sioux City, Dave Bride (Cindy) of Sioux City and Jeffrey Bride of Phoenix, AZ; 2 sisters: Barb and Carol and her brother Tom; 2 grandchildren: Kaleb and Amber.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Tony.
