Sharon K. Harrison

October 30, 1947 — February 19, 2018

Sharon K. Harrison, 70, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 at a local hospital surrounded by her family.
 
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22nd with the family present 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
 
Sharon was born Oct. 30, 1947 in Sioux City the daughter of Harold and Bonnie (Shapley) Ellis. She attended Sioux City Schools. On Dec. 2, 1962 she married James A. Harrison in Elk Point, SD. Sharon worked at West High School for 17 years as a lunchroom assistant.  She later was an in home child care provider.
 
Sharon and Jim were long time members of the Missouri River Boat Club. She loved being around people and visiting...a lot. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
 
Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Terri (Jeff) Pratt of Onawa, IA; son, Michael (Tonya) Harrison of Sioux City; grandchildren, Megan (Mitch) Meyer, Taylor (fiancée, Jade) Pratt, Laci
(Cody) Harder, Bailey Harrison, Madison Harrison, Tyler (Dakota) Riedmann and Rebecca Riedmann; great-granddaughter, Violet Harder and another great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Sandy (Denny) Jorgenson of Sioux City and Kathy (Rod) Peterson of Le Mars, IA; sister-in-law, Roxanne Ellis of North Sioux City, SD; uncles, Howard “Junior” (Sharon) Ellis of Farmington, IA and Harold Shapley of Duluth MN; and numerous other extended family.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter; brother, Larry Ellis; and nephew, Adam Ellis.
