Donna Marie Krohn, 92, of Sioux City passed away with peace and grace on Thursday, June 7, 2018, with her family at her side at a local care facility.
Services will be at 10:30am Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Pastor Johnny Helton officiating. Her burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00pm Sunday at the funeral home with the family present starting at 6pm and a prayer service at 7:00pm.
Donna was born February 3, 1926 in Waseca, MN. She was the daughter of George and Olena (Roberts) Clark. On December 2, 1942, Donna married Harry Krohn, Jr. in South Sioux City. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who greatest passion was taking care of others. Donna provided childcare in her home for many years right up to moment she and Harry decided it was there time to retire. She so enjoyed the time she got to spend with and love on all the kids. Donna was a longtime member of Morningside Assembly of God and the Siouxland Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting, reading, doing puzzles and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Dave Krohn and his wife Shelly of Sioux City; 6 grandchildren: Kayla Krohn, Nathan Krohn, Christopher Krohn (Alissa), Jonathan Schultz (Jacque), Clifford Schultz (Jeri), and Jeffrey Schultz (Laura); great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sisters, Margaret and Ethelyn, and her beloved daughter Carolyn Schultz.
