William F. “Bill” Mullins, 93 of South Sioux City passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his residence. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with Father David Fulton officiating. Burial with military graveside services will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Becker – Hunt funeral Home with a Wake Service at 7:30 P.M. William was born April 25, 1923 in Sioux City the son of William Henry and Gertrude E. (Buckland) Mullins. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1941. Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1948 and was honorably discharged August 18, 1952 with a rank as First Lieutenant. After his discharge he began a career in banking. He was employed at various banks in the Siouxland area and retired from the U.S. Bank in Sioux City. Bill was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City and a lifelong resident of South Sioux City, Nebraska. Survivors include three nieces: Mary Linda McVey of Keyes, CA, Ruth Pometto of Grand Pass, Oregon, Mele VanHazel-Paracuelles of Marina, CA, and his good friends Robert Arnold and Kenneth Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary L. VanHazel.
