Clifford C. Akins

Clifford C. Akins, 75 of South Sioux City, passed away Monday November 2, 2015 at a Sioux City Hospital.           Abiding with Clifford’s wishes, the body has been cremated and there will be no visitation or services. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.           Clifford was born January 11, 1940 in Sioux City the son of Ralph and Marian (Overton) Akins. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in1958. He married Merrillyn M. (Wroth) Warnock December 7, 1960 in South Sioux City. He owned and operated A & A Construction Company retiring in 2012.           Survivors include his wife Merrillyn, two sons: Kent Akins of Dakota City, Tracy Akins of Scotland, SD, three brothers: Len Akins of Phoenix, AZ, Pat Akins  of Lincoln, NE, Richard Akins of South Sioux City, a sister Rae Akins of South Sioux City, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.           He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Christian Akins, a daughter Nita Spillane, six brothers and one sister.
