Clelland F. “Fritz” Yockey, 71, of South Sioux City passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Randall Knuth officiating. Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in Oak Hill Cemetery at Anthon, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Fritz was born January 9, 1941 in Anthon, Iowa the son of Clelland M. and Violet R. (Livermore) Yockey. He graduated from Anthon-Oto High School and attended Wayne State College for two years. He farmed in the Anthon area, was employed at Orkin for several years and later drove for various carrier services. He married Sandra Bottjen and from that union they had two children. He later married Dorothy Lane Westin on August 23, 1997 in South Sioux City. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Blind Mission. Fritz cherished spending time with his grandchildren, attending many sporting events, especially the yearly NAIA Basketball tournaments, playing cribbage and was an avid horse lover. He also enjoyed dining at the Crystal Café. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of South Sioux City, a son Scott and his wife Connie Yockey of Anthon, Iowa, a daughter Terri and her husband Mark Green of Bonner Springs, Kansas, two step-sons: Bradley and his wife Michaela Westin of Shawnee, Kansas, Wayne Westin of Scottsdale, Arizona, a brother Reg and his wife Reta Yockey of Anthon, Iowa, three grandchildren: Christopher and his wife Bree Yockey, Justin Yockey and his special friend Megan Mullicane, Kassondra Green, three step-grandchildren: Matthew Westin, Michael Westin and Catherine Westin, and a great granddaughter Rylee Yockey. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dennis.
