Lorenzo Lopez

Lorenzo Lopez, 72 of Sioux City passed away Thursday November 22, 2012 at his residence. Services will be 4 P.M. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Oscar Perez officiating. Additional Services will be at a later date in Mexico. Visitation at Becker – Hunt Funeral will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Monday. The family will be offering their own prayers. Lorenzo was born August 8, 1940 in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico the son of Eustaquio Lopez and Maria Jesus Azpeitia. He married Maria Socorro Galvan de Lopez in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1960, and later returned to Mexico. He then moved to Stockton, California and was a self-employed commercial truck driver. He retired in 2000 due to poor health and moved to Sioux City, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Maria, of fifty years, six sons, five daughters and twenty-two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
