Chan Y. Lin

Chan Y. Lin, 63, of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 after a battle with advanced Parkinson’s Disease.  His body will be cremated and taken back to Malaysia where services will take place. 

Chan was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 25, 1956.  He married Eng Sor in 1984 and they enjoyed 35 years together.  Chan moved to Sioux City in 1991.  He worked for HyVee  and then Interbake Foods for 12 years before his health declined. 

Chan enjoyed fishing in Yankton, traveling, and walking with his wife.

Chan is survived by his wife, Eng Sor of South Sioux City, Nebraska; children, Terrence Chan of Kansas City, Missouri, Ivan Chan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Shelly (Joel) Patrick of Lincoln, Nebraska; granddaughter, Jayana; and an extended family in Malaysia.
